'High above the clouds'

Amazing canyons at Ifonche y Benitez.

After we visited all the “must” places in Tenerife. We decided to discover the less touristic areas of the island. We open the map every week and we look for a new and not too visited place. This is how we found Ifonche y Benitez which is only 8 km far from Arona.

The whole area is surrounded by rock formations and ravines: Roque de Los Brazos, Roque Imoque, Barranco del Rey, Barranco del Agua, which when added to the Barranco del Infierno (Hell's Ravine), drape the scene in a magical veil.

Bálint went for a short hike with our friend, Márió, and because our cameras are always with us, we can take photos if we found something incredible and think this was absolutely breathtaking. The clouds covered the valley and the sunset was magical. This is why we love the golden hours! You can see how the Sun is painting the rocks. That’s fantastic! I think this is one of our new favorite places.
